Welcome to Second Grade and Room 208! The mission of st paul catholic school is to promote the development of lifelong learners and leaders through and outstanding academic curriculum anchored in our catholic faith.
I am very excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year at St. Paul. This is my 9th year teaching at St. Paul. I taught fourth grade for one year and second grade for the last 7 years. I attended Detroit Country Day School from kindergarten to grade 12. I earned a BA from Hillsdale College in English. When I graduated, I worked in the field of printing and publishing for 5 years before my first child was born. I was blessed to be able to stay home with my 3 children for 12 years. During that time I taught religious education classes and decided to return to school to earn a teaching certificate. St. Paul was my school that I was assigned to for Student Teaching and upon earning my certificate, I came on staff. Catholic education is the foundation that my husband and I have chosen for our children. I hope to share that same foundation with your child. Mr. Meyers is my best friend and we have been married for 25 years. He is the vice president of business development for galco industrial electronics. We have three beautiful children. Our oldest is 21 years old and is a Senior at Michigan State University. she will graduate with a marketing degree in December. Our second child is a sophomore at Grand Valley State University. He is studying Business and entrepreneurship. Our youngest is a Junior at Grosse Pointe North. She currently is on study abroad in La Paloma Uruguay. In my spare time (when I find some) I enjoy reading, traveling, taking pictures and scrapbooking. Our family enjoys spending time at our cottage and going out on our boat.
