Welcome to Second Grade and Room 208! The mission of st paul catholic school is to promote the development of lifelong learners and leaders through and outstanding academic curriculum anchored in our catholic faith.
I am very excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year at St. Paul. This is my 13th year teaching at St. Paul. I taught fourth grade for one year and second grade for the last 12 years. I attended Detroit Country Day School from kindergarten to grade 12. I earned a BA from Hillsdale College in English. When I graduated, I worked in the field of printing and publishing for 5 years before my first child was born. I was blessed to be able to stay home with my 3 children for 12 years. During that time I taught religious education classes and decided to return to school to earn a teaching certificate. St. Paul was my school that I was assigned to for Student Teaching and upon earning my certificate, I came on staff. Catholic education is the foundation that my husband and I have chosen for our children. I hope to share that same foundation with your child. Mr. Meyers is my best friend and we have been married for 31 years. We have three beautiful children. Our oldest is 26 years old and works in Marketing. She just married a wonderful man a year ago and they live in Grosse Pointe Woods. Our second child graduated from grand valley state and currently works in Sales in the grand rapids area. Our youngest lives in chicago and is currently working as a hair stylist in a salon. In my spare time (when I find some) I enjoy reading, traveling, taking pictures, srapbooking and playing with my dog Rosie. Our family enjoys spending time at our cottage and going out on our boat.
